A Supervisor at the Primary School section of Chrisland School, Lekki, Adegboyega Adenekan, has denied the allegation of sexually abusing a two year old pupil of the nursery section of the school in November 2016.

Adenekan Adegboyega who was being led in evidence in his defence by a Senior Advocate, Mr. Olatunde Adejuyigbe,  described the allegation as false and shocking.

Adeboyega Adenekan told the Sexual and Domestic Violence Offences Court that the Head Teacher of the school, G. Asike called a meeting with the mother of the survivor, Mrs. Ireti Oladapo, whom he said told all present at the meeting that a test conducted on the 2 year old girl at Heritage Clinic in Ajah confirmed a case of sexual abuse.

He told the court thereafter that Chrisland School offered to do a confirmatory test in the school hospital but that the mother objected but later consented to it after getting in touch with her husband.

He told the court that while he was waiting for the test, Ireti Oladapo brought up the idea of conducting a polygraph test.

Adegboyega Adenekan who seems to be excited in his testimony showed no remorse in his attempt to prove his innocence, forcing the presiding judge, Justice Sybil Nwaka to revoke his bail.

The matter, according to the findings of The Nigerian Xpress has been adjourned till tomorrow for continuation of trial.
