Former President Goodluck Jonathan and four governors, from the South South zone of the country are being expected to grace the valedictory court session in honour of Hon. Kate Abiri, the outgoing Chief Judge of Bayelsa State.
This was made available in a statement issued by the Organising Committee for the event for Friday, January 13 at the High Court complex, Yenagoa.
The other governors being expected at the ceremony are Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, Prof. Ben Ayade of Cross Rivers State and Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State.

The statement added that former President Jonathan, would be the Father of the Day and his wife, Dame Patience Jonathan is the Mother of the Day.
The week -long programme which had commenced days back would also see Chief Wole Olanipekun SAN as Chairman of the event , while Governor Douye Diri is the Chief Host.
Activities to mark the exit of the Chief Judge, Hon. Kate Abiri, started with legal year/valedictory thanksgiving service on Sunday at Greater Evangelism World Crusade , Opolo – Yenagoa, Public Lecture on January 12, 2023,Valedictory court session . The reception and a book presentation will be the end of the week-long event.
