Japaul, Pharmdeko, Prempaints post loss in Q1 2019 results

Japaul Oil and Maritime Services Plc, Pharmadeko Plc and Premier Paints have all posted losses in their unaudited 2019 first quarter results released so far. Japaul recorded a loss of N555.695 million before tax in its unaudited report for the first quarter of 2019. The company recorded a turnover of N141.76 million, up by 30.34% when compared to the previous turnover of N108.76 million recorded in the first quarter of 2018.

Similarly, Pharma Deko Plc in the company’s unaudited first quarter results posted an N110.43m loss in Q1 2019 results for the period ended March 31, 2019. Revenue of the company declined by -74% to N107.80mln from N414.58mln in the previous quarter. The loss for the period grew by 582.5% to N110.43mln while the Net Assets also grew by 1.6% to N1.76bln from N1.73bln as at 31st December 2018.

Premier Paints continued the losing streak by declaring an N10.23m loss in Q1 2019 results. Revenue of the company declined by -73.46% to N29.05mln from N50.39mln in the previous quarter. Loss Before Tax grew by 72.36% to N10.33mln. Loss After Tax grew by 76.33% to N10.23mln. Net Assets also grew by 8.78% to N143.57mln from N130.96mln as at 31st December 2018.
