David Adesina has shared his journey to becoming a graduate after spending years at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ife.

In a post he shared on the career social media site, LinkedIn, Adesina said he had contemplated dropping out of the university but his mother would not allow him.

The physically challenged graduate said he has so many stories to tell as there have been many discomforts along the way.

“There have been a lot of ups and way too many downs along the way, but here I am standing and super excited. I remember going home for Christmas in 2018 simply because I wanted to inform her that I was going to drop out of school (while nursing my second extra year) and she vehemently opposed the move,” he said.

His post has amassed so many reactions with over 6,000 likes and close to 1,000 comments on the social media platform.

“Congratulations David Adesina. Your story speaks volumes of the person you are – strong, resilient and passionate. God will grant you amazing success,” one person said.

Many others congratulated him on the feat.

Another said he knows the man. He said he felt pity for him each time he saw him. He said he wondered how he would cope with the tedious work ahead.
