IPOB members pursue Peter Obi, Sen. Abaribe, others out of campaign ground in Anambra

Members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in Onitsha, Anambra State, on Friday, reportedly harassed and ‘chased’ a former governor of the state, Mr. Peter Obi, Senate Minority Leader, Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe, and other members of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as they tried to campaign for votes in commercial city.

According to reports gathered by Mr. Obi, Sen. Abaribe and other top members of the PDP had visited the ‘Ogbo Ogwu’ market in Onitsha South to campaign for the party’s candidate in the upcoming November 6, 2021, Anambra Guber Elections, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, when the suspected IPOB members struck.

Chants of ‘Nnamdi Kanu is another Saviour’ reportedly broke out as the politicians tried to address the traders. On noticing the chants and agitations had swelled, they quickly left the market premises.

It could be recalled that the proscribed pro-secessionist group has constantly threatened that ‘no elections’ will hold in the state calling on the People to abandon the exercise.
