Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday encouraged more philanthropists to contribute to the health sector in Lagos State.
The governor also praised Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for their role in the improvements of health sector in the state.
Shortly after management team of Nigerian Breweries paid him courtesy visit at the Lagos House, Ikeja, urging him to help rehabilitate Abebe village road which links Iganmu to Eric Moore, Sanwo-Olu said there is need for more health centres to be constructed across the state, thus more philanthropists and corporate organizations are needed to complement the state government’s efforts.
‘A lot of people need to use the primary healthcare which is closer to them than the secondary healthcare. I just returned from a trip which will be of great benefit to Lagosians. My team and I visited the United States where we discussed issues relating to the health sector after which we had a twenty hour journey to China .
‘This trip is to build a strong sister relationship with the private sector and harbour cooperation with many business stakeholders in China .”
Also, Governor Sanwo-Olu promised Nigerian Breweries on their request, as he urged them to go and clean their environment.
”Abebe road is strategic and it links Iganmu with Eric Moore. We will take it up and revamp it.We are doing a lot in Badagry Expressway  and we are developing the rail,” he said.
