The Member-elect representing Ethiope Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Erhriatake Ibori-Suenu, has resigned as Chairman Finance and Appropriation Committee of the state’s House of Assembly.
Ibori-Suenu, a member representing Ethiope West State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA).

In a letter dated 27th 2023, Ibori-Suenu, who is the daughter of a former governor of state, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, did not give any reason for her action.
In her letter, she said: “I hereby wish to officially resign my appointment and ceases to serve as Chairman Finance and Appropriation Committee of Delta State House of Assembly.
“I appreciate the opportunity given to me to serve as Chairman of Finance and Appropriation Committee and I wish the House well in moving forward as the 7th Assembly winds down.
“I would like to thank Mr. Speaker for the opportunity to lead this Committee and to express my profound gratitude to members of my Committee and also the House for their support over the years.
“It has been an honour and pleasure serving this honourable House” she added.
