I will prioritise healthcare, Senatorial candidate assures

Mr Godiya Akwashiki, the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Nasarawa North, has promised to promote healthcare services, if elected on February 16.
Akwashiki, who is the Deputy Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, made this known during a campaign rally at Lambaga/Arikpa, Lizzen Keffi, Agunji/Ogbagi and Alogani electoral wards of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the state.
Akwashiki, who represents Nasarawa Eggon West state constituency, assured that he would initiate policies and programmes that would have direct bearing on the lives and health of his constituents and Nigerians at large.
He noted that a healthy nation is a wealthy nation and solicited for the votes of the electorate.

“I promise to initiate good health policies and programmes that would have direct bearing on your lives and the lives of other people of the senatorial district if elected to the red chamber.
“You are aware of what I have done in the areas of education, water, road construction and electricity, among others.
“You have seen how I tackled water scarcity and provided electricity among other social amenities to different electoral wards of my constituency.
Send me to the National Assembly on February 16 and you will see more of this which will change your lives from one level to the next level,” he said.
Akwashiki also promised to give adequate attention to the education sector through school development as well as giving scholarship to students.
“I am into politics to change my people’s lives positively. That is why I will continue to give adequate attention to the education and health needs, among other infrastructural facilities, topmost priority.
“If I get to the red chamber, I will give scholarship to the students in order to improve on the standard of education and to reduce burden of school fees on the parents,” he said.
He appealed to the electorate to vote for him, President Muhammadu Buhari and other APC candidates in the February 16 and March 2nd general elections. (NAN)
