The outcry that greeted the death of yet another Nigerian in the hands of operatives of the Special Anti- Robbery Squad (SARS) has exhumed the call for the squad to either be disbanded or be reformed.

EndSARS became a top trend on social media on Saturday and major part of Sunday when the death of Tiamiyu, a professional footballer with Remo Stars of Ibadan surfaced on social media.

A heartbreaking video posted on Twitter showed the father of Tiamiyu holding tightly to the SARS operative who pulled the trigger that ended the life of the footballer.

Social media campaigner, Aisha Yesufu asked rhetorically if Nigerians are not fed up with ‘May his soul rest in peace’ a phrase that has become common with the demise of people in avoidable circumstances.
