Some Nigerians on social media have jumped on the hilarious #Guccybranchcaptionchallenge, named after instagram handler, Guccy Branch, an associate of musicians Zlatan and Naira Marley who were recently arrested by EFCC.
News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Branch, Zlatan, Naira Marley and two others were arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in connection with an ongoing internet fraudsters investigation.
Branch and Zlatan have since been released.
It was the arrest that drew the attention of Nigerians to his Instagram page @guccy_branch and the funny way he captions his posts.
On his most recent post he wrote, “Liked by rahman Jago xpensive abokiwire abokiwizzy and 78 others insha allah thi yeah god and every body.”
Some Nigerians who found his captions hilarious, started posting photos and captions in similar pattern with the hashtag #Guccybranchcaptionchallenge causing the challenge to trend online.

NAN reports that Branch, Zlatan and two others were released from custody on Tuesday evening. Naira Marley is however, still detained. (NAN)
