Ebonyi State Police Command has arrested a (20) year old cattle herder identified as Laulo Isa for allegedly raping a 56 year old man to death in her farmland located in Ugwulangwu community Ebonyi state.
The Command Police Public Relation Officer DSP Lovet Odah confirmed the ugly incident in Abakaliki in a chat with newsmen .
The PPRO disclosed that Operatives of the Command has commenced investigation into the incident stating that the suspect has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for thorough investigation.
She said that the corpse of the deceased has been deposited at th Okposi General hospital Mortuary in the Ohaozara Council.

DSP Odah said that the suspect Laulo Isa upon interrogation confessed to the crime.
“Isa Laulo has been arrested by the police after a combined team of police men led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of the Area condoned off the community with the help of youths in the area around 4.30 am and apprehended the suspect.
” The DPO led a team of to the area and the picture was taken , the corpse was removed and taken mortuary .
Investigations by Nigeria Xpress Reporter revealed that the deceased was returning from her farm on Friday 27th December 2019 when the suspect accousted and gripped the woman and subsequently raped her to death.
A source who preferred anonymity informed newsmen that the lifeless body of the deceased woman was discovered the next day 28th December 2019.
The incident reportedly caused pandemonium in the community Ugwulangwu where the incident took place.
