Hallmark Newspaper votes Rep Ottah Agbo, Best Lawmaker in 2020

Dr. Ottah Agbo who is the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Narcotic Drugs, will be conferred with the award among other notable Nigerian achievers, at a colourful ceremony which starts at 6:00 pm at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Hallmark Newspaper Group, in a letter to Dr. Ottah Agbo, who is also the Spokesman of the Minority Caucus of the House of Representatives, said the Lawmaker was voted the Best Lawmaker of the Year 2020, due to his effectiveness as a legislator and quality service to humanity.

The Newspaper noted that Dr. Ottah Agbo had in fulfilment of his campaign promise to his people, donated his four-year salary to the servicing of widows and orphans, maintained an open-door policy, granted unique access to his constituents and engaged in  robust oversight of the Executive Arm of Government.
The Newspaper Publishers also noted that Dr. Ottah Agbo stands out as a unique Lawmaker, for sponsoring critical and life-changing bills/motions on the floor of the House of Representatives in less than two years since the inauguration of the ninth House.
The staff and Management of Hallmark newspaper believed the motions and bills so far sponsored by the Reps Member have in no small measure deepened Nigeria’s fledgling democracy hence the conferment of the award on the Benue born Lawmaker .
Dr. Ottah Agbo, known popularly as the Cicero and Moving Train of Enone politics,  in a letter of acknowledgement, said he was humbled by the decision of the newspaper firm to honour him.
The Reps Member, fondly called the Ozigizaga and the Feedback Lawmaker, said he did not know that media organisations were following his modest efforts at improving the living condition of his constituents.
While thanking the Halmark newspaper for the award, the Lawmaker therefore dedicated the Diadem to the long suffering people of Ado, Ogbadibo, Okpokwu Federal Constituency. He believes the award will spur him to do more for his people and humanity, God willing!
Dr. Ottah Agbo assured  that he will be at the Civic Centre to personally receive the award.
The journalist turned politician explained that he considers it an honour to be appreciated by his professional colleagues whom he said are usually critical of public office holders, including journalists in government!
“For a media organisation like Hallmark to find me worthy of honour as the Best Lawmaker is no mean feat and by the Grace of God, I will be there to receive the award,” he stated.
The FeedBack Lawmaker invited friends, his constituents, colleagues and associates to join him to receive the award.
The event will be chaired by former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim.
