A Civil Society Organisation, the Voluntary Aid Initiative (VAI), has described the non-mplementation of yearly budget proposals by the state government and insecurity as the bane of development in Zamfara State.

This assertion was made by VAI’s Executive Director, Malam Musa Umar, in Gusau, the state capitral, on Thursday, at a one-day Project Monitoring Information Sharing with Stakeholders by VAI, and three other Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), organised by the Women Environmental Program (WEP).
Umar lamented that most of the women friendly projects proposed in the 2017 budget by the state government meant for rural communities are not being carried out.
