It was fun and excitement galore when former Governor of Oyo State and Ibadan Land High Chief, His Excellency Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, paid a courtesy visit to the Nigeria French Language Village Badagry, Nigeria and addressed the students in the French Language.

During the visit, he promised his continued support for the Nigeria French Language Village, situated in Badagry, in the South West axis of Nigeria. Ladoja, a senator, had earlier met the Director/CEO, Professor Tunde Ayeleru and his Management team in his office in the newly renovated administrative building before he later met with the students where he encouraged them to make the good opportunity of learning the French language for their intellectual, professional and socioeconomic development.

He spoke to the students in the French language recollecting his experience as a Chemical Engineering student at the Université de Liège, Belgium where he had to learn the French Language. He added that, his knowledge of French helped his outstanding performance as an Engineer with Total Oil Company where he was recruited as a fresh graduate upon graduation.

“Today’s visit is coming after some years,” Ladoja said, adding that he was particularly impressed with the infrastructural revamping going on in the Village. He therefore encouraged the Management team and staff to key into Ayeleru’s laudable vision for the Village. He therefore assured that he would give necessary possible assistance to the growth of the institution. After his brief words of encouragement (which he made in French language) to the cross section of the students on the Language Immersion Programme, some students asked questions and made comments.
