Razaq Bamidele
The French Language Village of Nigeria, on Wednesday, received a visit from the French Embassy in Nigeria.
The visit came 15 years after severance of relationship between the two establishments.
The Embassy was represented on the tour by the Counselor for Cooperation and Cultural Action, Mr Rafaël Pont and the Cooperation Attaché for the French Language, Ms Magaly Losange.
The reception included not only the Director/CEO, Professor Tunde Ayeleru and its Principal Officers but also the Chairman of the Village Governing Council, Professor Remi Sonaiya.
This visit has just opened a new partnership (in educational, cultural and technical activities) between the French Embassy and the French Village of Nigeria.
The importance of this visit, as stated earlier, lies in the fact that it took place after about 15 years of severance of relations between the two establishments.
