Fire destroys N200m hostel building in Imo

A hostel building of Abdulazeze Muslim Institute Cum Imo Grammar School located at Umuofor in Oguta Council Area of Imo State worth N200 millions of Naira has being destroyed by fire
The building was completely raised down by the inferno from a nearby bush suspected to have being set ablaze be people
The fire which started around 2 pm rages high for several hours and even attempted to destroy one of the classrooms before the intervention of people around.
Speaking to newsmen, the proprietor of the citadel of learning and the Chief Imam of Oguta Mosque, HRH Abdulfatai Chinemeze Emetuma told newsmen that he got to know of the fire outbreak when one of the Muslim faithful praying in the Mosque called him 
He said that he quickly abandoned his prayers and rushed to the Mosque only to discover that the fire was already raging high
He said that he quickly mobilized people including security personnel who assisted in stopping the fire preventing it from moving into the mosque and the main building of the institution
The Chief Imam, who doubled as the traditional ruler of Umuofor Autonomous Community, said that the Mosque and the institute was yet to be fenced round pointed that the fire penetrate into the premises from those openings
Eze Emetuma who expressed joy that the fire went round the mosque and the main building of the institution but could not torch them due to the effort of people around
He told newsmen that both the school and the Mosque was opened by Emire of Kano in 1992 adding that after some years of intensive academic studies, it stopped functioning
 He regretted all effort made within and outside to reach out to well meaning Nigerians especially Muslim members assist to rehabilitate the place which has being abandoned failed on the deaf ear
He appealed to the Federal Government particularly Muslim brothers to come to his side to assist in the areas of donation of building materials for the rebuilding of the institute
