Female naval Commander murdered in Kaduna

A naval Commander, based in Jaji, near Kaduna State, has been murdered.

It was learnt that the senior naval officer was murdered by yet-to-be identified men who dumped her corpse in a well in a village near the military cantonment in Jaji.

It was gathered that the officer was last seen in Jaji, on September 13, 2019, and was working at the Command Secondary School, Jaji.

As of the time of filing this report, the circumstances surrounding her murder were sketchy.

A source told our correspondent that the authorities of the military in Jaji had placed some of her close staff and family members under close watch.

He added that two persons had been arrested, in Zaria, when they attempted to dispose of the deceased’s car.

“The two suspects confessed to have taken part in the murder of the senior military officer. They later led investigators to Agwanloyo, to an abondoned shallow well near the Deeper Life Church in Jaji cantonment.

“The corpse had been dismembered and put in a ‘Ghana-Must-Go’ bag before being dumped in the shallow well.”

Calls to the Public Relations Office of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College went unanswered and there was no reply to  a text message sent to his phone.

Similar calls to the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Yakubu Sabo, were also unanswered.
