FCT Poll: Sarki promises educational reform

Mr Hamidu Sarki, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) chairmanship candidate, Kuje Area Council, FCT, has promised to reform the education sector in the council, if elected on Saturday.

Sarki made the promise during his campaign tour while addressing his supporters at Gaube, Chibiri and Rubochi electoral wards in Kuje Area Council on Thursday.

According to him, educations will fast-track the quest for all-round development of the area and open doors for various segments of council to fully develop.

The candidate urged the electorate to vote for him in order to develop the council and for them to enjoy more dividends of democracy.

He  said he went into contest to enable him assist women, children and young people acquire education, prosper and achieve their goals.

He said: “I will rescue youths and the less privileged from suffering and set the council on the path of prosperity and success.

“I will reform the educational sector of the area council through adequate policies and positive agenda.”

He also promised to embark on rehabilitation of dilapidated roads to ensure easy movement of farm produce, reduce the plight of the residents and boost their socioeconomic activities.

Sarki also promised to carry everybody along and key into positive policies and programmes that would add value and direct bearing to the lives of the people in the area.

He, however, called on youths to shun electoral violence and eschew being used by selfish politicians to indulge in thuggery, during and after the election in order to ensure peaceful election. (NAN)
