Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, on Tuesday, reportedly took a former Deputy National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Victor Giadom, to Aso Rock Villa in a failed attempt to see President Muhammadu Buhari.
The visit, it was gathered, was to win President Buhari over to Giadom, who has been laying claim to being acting national chairman of the party.
It was also gathered that Governor Fayemi wanted Giadom to see the president to get endorsement for the emergency National Executive Council (NEC) he (Giadom) summoned.
Reports, however, said that But both Governor Fayemi and Giadom could not see President Buhari despite spirited attempts.
It was gathered that they only met the President’s Chief of Staff, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, who insisted the president had closed for work.
