Ex- Minister, Adedoja mourns Nuhu Muhamad-Sanusi, late Emir of Dutse

Former Minister of Sports and Special Duties, Prof. Taoheed Adedoja, has mourned the death of the Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Nuhu Muhamad-Sanusi, saying that his 28 years reign as the Emir of the ancient city of Dutse radiated peace, friendship and unity of Nigeria.

This was Contained in a Condolence message to the family of the late Emir, the Government and the people of Jigawa State and made available to news men by Prof Adedoja who is a former Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Governing Council of the Federal University, Dutse, Jigawa State.

According to him,” It is  a sad news for me and members of my family. The late Emir was my senior at Kano Teachers College , Kano, and related with me as a brother and friend before  and throughout his 28 years reign as Emir of the ancient city of Dutse.

Adedoja also recalled in the message that “the Dutse palace became my home when I served as the Pro Chancellor and Chairman of Governing Council of the Federal University, Dutse from year 2014 to 2016.”

His reign as Emir, the letter reads further, radiated peace, friendship and unity of Nigeria.

“As a double masters degree graduate of Ohio University and Stanford University, the late emir Nuhu muhamad-Sanusi’s educational experience was effectively utilized for community development and social services combined with his roles as a first class traditional ruler before his demise.

“My sympathy to the family, the emirate of Dutse and the Governor of Jigawa State, His Excellency Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, as we pray to Allah to accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus. Amin”.

The monarch died at the age of 78 last Tuesday in Abuja and was buried Wednesday in Dutse in accordance with Islamic rites with mammoth crowd at his Jinaiza.
