Establish physical presence across LGs, LCDAs, Andoma Doma charges Gov. Sule

The paramount traditional ruler of Doma Local Government Area, the Andoma of Doma, HRH Alhaji Ahmadu Aliyu Ogah Onawo, has tasked Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State towards  ensuring physical development across all the local government and development areas of the state.

The Andoma laid the charge when he hosted the governor in his palace in Doma, as part of activities marking the second year anniversary of Governor Sule administration, on Tuesday.

Specifically, the royal father, called on the governor to endeavour to surpass the development strides of his immediate past predecessor, Sen. Umaru Tanko Al-makura, by opening up the LGs and development areas, through the construction of roads and hospitals.

While appreciating Sen. Al-makura for the role he played in ensuring that Governor Sule becomes governor of the state, the royal father, however, called on the former governor not to rest on his oars, but to continue to support his successor to do even better than he did while he was in power.

He also called on the state government to construct a befitting market in Doma, as well as a square where people of the council can gather on occasions.

Responding, Governor Sule said he was in the palace of the Andoma, in continuation of his meet-the-people tour across the state, adding that the administration finds it appropriate to listen to the people as they assess the administration, which will be two years, in a few days.

According to the governor, the tour, which defines true democracy, affords the people the opportunity to speak their minds, on his stewardship so far, saying he is willing to take genuine criticism, as well as commendations.

Governor Sule commended traditional rulers in the state, especially the Andoma, for the role they continue to play, towards ensuring peace and security across the state.
