The flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the forthcoming Senatorial by-election in Imo State, Sir Frank Ibezim, has commiserated with the the respective families, who lost their loved ones in the ongoing #ENDSARS protests across the country.
The protests against police brutality had been peaceful until it was seemingly hijacked by hoodlums in the last 48 hours, resulting in deaths and wanton destruction of properties.
As a mark of sympathy and solidarity, the Frank Ibezim for Senate Team, which has been on campaigns across the 64 wards of the zone, declared Tuesday, as a campaign-free day and lowered the tempo on all campaign-related activities, in honour of the victims.
A statement signed by the team leader, Chief Jim Isilebo, prayed that “the Almighty God gives the grieving families the fortitude to bear their irreparable losses as well as grant our dear country the grace of better future for our teeming youths across the country,whose requests are just the basic necessities of life.”
