Eid-El-Maulud : GNI harps on tolerance, peaceful coexistence of Muslims in Ogun

Frontline Politician in Ogun State, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka (GNI) has tasked the Muslim community in Ogun State to be tolerant of others, especially those from the Christian faith, as well as maintain peaceful coexistence with them.

GNI said this in his goodwill message to mark the Eid-El-Maulud celebration on Monday.

According to the three-time gubernatorial candidate “It is with heartfelt pleasure that I extend warm greetings of peace and goodwill to our Brothers and Sisters of the Islamic faith on the occasion of this year’s Eid-El-Maulud.

He said “However, this is yet another opportunity to renew calls for the peaceful coexistence of Muslims with people of other faith. Religious tolerance is key, as it lays the foundation for unity and individual prosperity of our State and by extension, Nigeria.

GNI also reiterated the need for Muslims to “not forget the divine call for man to subdue nature and use it for his prosperity.”

He added that the Islamic event was also an occasion to reinforce the values of obedience and total submission to the will of Allah.

He congratulated the Muslim community in the state on the celebration, urging them to continue to be partners in progress with the current administration in the State, to move the State forward.
