Egbe thumbs up Dickson over Bayelsa Queens victory

Chief Executive Officer of Monimichelle, Ebi Egbe has given a pat on back to Gov Seriake Dickson, declaring that Bayelsa Queens victory in the Nigerian Women’s Professional League (NWFL) clearly shows that the state is investing well in the area of sports.
Egbe while congratulating Dickson over the Bayelsa Queens victory pointed out that the team emerged the nation’s champions few months after the state hosted the women’s Aiteo Cup Federations Cup final in Yenagoa at the Samson Siasia Stadium.
“Gov Seriake Dickson deserves kudos for the victory of Bayelsa Queens in the women’s league. The victory is a direct fall out of the massive investment of the state government in the area of sports. Just last year, the state hosted the Women’s Aiteo Cup Federations Cup final at the Samson Siasia Stadium that boasts of the best playing turf in the country at the moment.
The performance of the state at the National Sports Festival in Abuja last December clearly shows that things are looking up for Bayelsa Sports. Nobody gave Bayelsa a chance to finish 5th on the final medals table,” Egbe said.
Egbe charged the state government to continue to pay good attention to sports, as parts of her Restoration Agenda, insisting that the state would in no time become the country’s number State in sports.
Bayelsa Queens over the weekend won the NWFL Super 4 after beating defending champions, Nasarawa Amazons by 2-0 at the Agege Stadium in Lagos.
