EFCC petition: I have nothing to hide -Nasarawa FA boss

Chairman of Nasarawa State FA, Mohammed Alkali has dismissed the petition written against him by some football stakeholders in the state to EFCC as a non issue.
Alkali while reacting to the petition said he would only be losing sleep over the issue if he had anything to hide.
“I don’t have anything to hide. The truth is that those who wrote the petition are the agents of those who have been distracting the NFF at the national level. They have carried their distraction to Nasarawa State. The allegations against me are laughable. They accused me of pocketing money meant for Stadium maintenance when the FA has no hand in how a stadium is managed,” Alkali said.
On the Russia 2018 World Cup money, Alkali said he deserved kudos for ensuring that three other football stakeholders from the state traveled to Russia to have World Cup experience.
“From the little money we had, three of us …myself, the FA secretary and a board member went to Russia from Nasarawa state which was a big plus for us. The records are there for anybody to see. What those writing petitions are doing is nothing but to distract us as a board, especially now that we are going into fresh elections. I m not losing sleep over the petition because as I said I have nothing to hide. I have been running the state FA transparently and to the glory of God football in Nasarawa state is making progress,” Alkali said.
