Ebonyi Clergymen suspend 2 Pastors for allegedly instigating leadership crisis in Organisation

A Group of Clergymen in Ebonyi State under the aegis of “Divine Mandate Pastors Forum” has suspended two of its Pastors indefinitely for allegedly instigating leadership crisis in the organisation.

It was gathered that the suspended Pastors Ifeanyi Igwe and Ernest Anayo had  granted media interviews and publications in recent times, that  portrayed the State Coordinator of the Group of high handedness in piloting the affairs  of the group.

In a Statement jointly signed and issued in Abakaliki the State capital on Tuesday by the Group Zonal Coordinators namely Pastor James Obasi, Mike Nwankwo, Reverend Blessing Ali in addition to members of the State Working Committees respectively, stated that that the indefinite  suspension slammed on the two Pastors were based on alleged gross misconduct .

The Statement added that the suspended Pastors were not permitted to attend any of the Group meetings or other engagements , in addition to receipt of any benefit accruable to members throughout the duration of the suspension.

It further described such malicious publication in National Dailies orchestrated from the attack on the Group Leadership as baseless and an embarrassment to tarnish its  image and reputation .

” People that indulge in this kind of attitude were not called by God, they don’t have a congregation, they have nothing at stake in terms of integrity of a Minister, they are self acclaimed Ministers who urgent spiritual redemption.

“The suspension of the two Pastors is based on gross misconduct which is inimical and detrimental to the progress of the Divine Mandate Pastors Forum, they have been warned time without number to cease from the misconduct, but to no and vail”

The Statement outlined the offences of the suspended Pastors to include publicly insulting the State Cordinator without remorse, instigating members of the Group against the leadership of the Group among others.

According to the statement, “We are aware that these mischief makers are being sponsored by enemies of the church to misrepresent the Divine Mandate Pastors, it will remain a vain voyage”

The Statement added that the allegations leveled against the leadership of the Organization were baseless and unfounded stating “the two suspended Pastors Ifeanyi Igwe and Ernest Anayo are inconsequential , they should stop parading themselves as clergymen”

“Our Leader and State Coordinator of Divine Mandate Pastors Forum Pastor Eunice Oyeyemi, is a Woman of God with integrity, tested for over two decades by the Ministry she represents and the good people of the State”

It restated that the ” Divine Mandate Pastors Forum” was not in crisis and would remain committed to the vision and ideals of its creation geared towards supporting the policies and programmed of the State Government”

“Let it be on record that the Divine Mandate Pastors Forum shall continue to pray for the Governor, we are not in crisis, we are more than ever committed to the vision of Governor David Umahi, we gather at both the State level and Local Government to pray for good governance of the State”

Investigations revealed that the two suspended Pastors had few days ago organized a media parley and alleged that the State Coordinator of the Divine Mandate Forum, exhibited high handedness in piloting the affairs of the Group accusing her of abuse of office among others.

It would be recalled that “Divine Mandate Pastors Forum” was formed in 2015 in Ebonyi State as the umbrella body of Pastors whose objectives was to pray and canvass for the actualization of the governorship ambition  of Engr. David Umahi who was then the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP).
