Drama as Lyon, Sylva fail to address supporters

Supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Bayelsa State, were treated to a mild drama, on Saturday night, at the campaign office of the governorship candidate, Chief David Lyon.

A reception had been scheduled for 10:00a.m. at the campaign office for the governorship candidate which drew a large crowd of party supporters to the venue on Isaac Boro Way, Yenagoa, the state capital.

APC members from across the eight local governments in the state had been well mobilised to the reception but the candidate, Lyon, did not get to the venue until past 7:00p.m.

He arrived his campaign office in company of Minister of Petroleum Resources and a former governor of the state, Chief Timipre Sylva, and other party leaders.

They were received by a tumultuous crowd of supporters who had filled the premises while many others thronged a long stretch of the expressway leading to the venue.

But instead of addressing their supporters who had been waiting for them, they went straight into the building and met for about 40 minutes.

Shortly, they also came out without addressing the crowd but went straight into their cars and drove off.

However, Sylva, was seen dancing for few seconds immediately he stepped out of the building before he exited.
