Davido, Superstar singer and music executive, David Adeleke, has constituted a 5-man committee to supervise the disbursement of the funds realized during his recent N100M challenge.
The committee is to be chaired by Mrs. Titi Adebayo while Professor Jonathan Nwosu will serve as secretary to the committee.
Members of the committee include Professor Yahana Joel Asabe of the Northern Nigeria Seventh Day Adventist Union Conference, Pastor (Dr) Oyalabu of Spring Time Development Foundation (SDF) and Professor Uloma Onuoha.
The mandates of the committee include the compilation of a list of orphanages across Nigeria, determining the number of children and their needs at each orphanage, and then dividing the funds accordingly.
The committee will also determine the portion of the money that will be donated to Paroche foundation. To maintain transparency, the committee will make public the names of the beneficiary orphanages and how much each will receive.
The singer made these developments known in a statement dated Friday, November 19, 2021, and released on Saturday, November 20, 2021.
“To oversee the distribution of funds to beneficiaries, I have established a five-person Disbursement Committee.
The committee will compile a list of orphanages across Nigeria. They will determine the number of children and their needs at each orphanage and then divide the funds accordingly.
The committee, constituted by Davido, will also determine the portion of the money that will be donated to Paroche foundation. To maintain transparency, the committee will make public the names of the beneficiary orphanages and how much each will receive. “
A list of all beneficiaries and their verified account details will be submitted to Wema Bank, who will then be instructed to credit each beneficiary’s account“ he stated.
The singer also revealed that he intends to do a fundraiser every year to celebrate his birthday and give back the donation to the poor.
“My goal is to do this fundraising every year to celebrate my birthday and give back to people in need. It is my hope that my friends, fans, colleagues in the industry, and the public will continue to support me as I drive this cause.

Recall that the Skelewu had issued a rallying call to his colleagues to give him the sum of N1m each for his birthday.
Consequently, the donations started pouring in and topped the N200m mark. The singer added the sum of N50m to the N200m raised and donated all the money to orphanages across the country.
