Dapo Abiodun kicks against thuggery, cultism in Ogun

Ogun State governor-elect, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has warned criminals terrorising the State to lay down their arms and weapons, as his government would not tolerate hooliganism, thuggery and cultism.

He made this known while addressing newsmen after commiserating with families of those who lost their lives in the recent crisis in Ifo area of the state.

The governor-elect made an on-the-spot assessment visit to the razed constituency office of the House of Representatives member, Ifo/Ewekoro federal constituency, Hon. Ibrahim Isiaka Ayokunle, as well as that of the Deputy Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Olakunle Olumo, whose five school buses were also burnt.

The governor-elect also described the incident that led to the loss of two lives as ‘unfortunate’, while appealing to the people of the state to be more tolerant of one other.
