COVID-19: Nigeria’s toll hits 1,728 as it records 196 new cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday said the country has recorded 196 new cases of Covid-19.

With this development, the number of infected cases has risen to a total of 1728, with 307 patients discharged, and 51 deaths. 
Disclosing this via a tweet, NCDC stated that Lagos State took the giant size of the cases, as it accounted for  87 cases. While Kano State recorded 24 cases, Gombe State had 18 cases whereas Kaduna State recorded 17 cases.

Others are FCT 16 cases,  Katsina State ten, Sokoto State eight, Edo State seven, Borno State six, and Yobe, Ebonyi and Adamawa states  one case each.
