Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State is believed to have gone on self-isolation.
Recall that Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mr. Abba Kyari, who has since been confirm to have contracted the Coronavirus had attended the burial of the governor’s mother in Okene, Kogi State.
Governor Bello, it was gathered, has since remained indoors in Asokoro since the phone call, on Monday, and refusing to attend to any visitor.
It was only after Mr.Kyari’s status became public knowledge, on Tuesday, that the governor’s aides were able to rationalise his sudden mood relapse since Monday.

As at press time, it was not known whether Governor Bello had called the NCDC to surrender himself for testing for the infectious virus yet.
But his staff believes that his attitude since Monday amounted to self-isolation as advised by NCDC.
Even before the Covid-19 positive status of the President’s Chief of Staff became public knowledge, Governor Bello had heard of the bad news and quickly retreated from public glare.
Sources close to the governor said that he got the information during lunch hour in his Asokoro, Abuja residence, on Monday.
It was reliably gathered that Governor Bello was headed for the dining table in his expansive Banquet Hall when he picked the call believed to have emanated from his contacts in Aso Rock.
His demeanour was said to have changed while answering the call and rather than progress towards the dining table, the governor reportedly did a U-turn and began heading for upstairs.
He was quoted to have asked repeatedly ‘Are you sure?’ and exclaimed ‘This is serious’ in the course of the phone conversation.
Our source said he called PA and then his Chief of Staff and told them to ask everyone in the anteroom waiting to see him to leave.
He told his aides he would not be attending to anybody until further notice.
Visitors who had come to see him including those he had already invited to table where said to have been puzzled by the sudden change of attitude wondering what he must have been told in the course of the phone call.
Meanwhile, the Kogi State Government has isolated some unknown person due to rising case of COVID -19, the state commissioner of Health said this, in Lokoja.
