The grand patron of Legacy Initiative International Advocacy (LIIA), Mr. Kenny Martins, in a statement Friday, said it was imperative to commit a national day of prayers where the current happenings in the world would be committed into God’s hands.
He said he had consulted leading religious and traditional leaders and they all agreed on the need for the event slated for April 6, 2020.
The statement read: “Nigeria and the rest of the world, in the last three months, have been bedevilled by the coronavirus, otherwise known as COVID-19, which has become pandemic in proportion and killed thousands of people all over the world.

“Legacy Initiative International
Advocacy has been in consultation all week with the traditional and
religious leaders and their colleagues from other parts of the country
on the need to commit what is happening in the world today to God
through a national day of prayer, and each of these leaders have given
his support for the prayers.
“In the light
of the foregoing, Monday, April 6, has been declared National Day of
Prayer. Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora have been urged to go on
their knees for 10 minutes at this precise hour by stopping everything
we are doing, anywhere we are to pray for God’s grace and intervention
in this ravaging coronavirus pandemic.”
