COVID-19 cases surge as Nigeria records 117 new cases

Nigeria, on Tuesday, recorded additional 117 new Coronavirus cases, bringing total number of infected people in the country to 782.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed in a tweet: “As at 11:25 pm 21st April there are 782 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria.”

Of the new cases, Lagos had 59 while FCT had 29 and Kano 14.

Others are : Six in Borno, 4 in Katsina, 3 in Ogun and one each in Rivers and Bauchi states.

So far, 197 patients had been discharged, with 25 recorded fatalities.
