COVID-19: Bayelsa distributes 10,000 face masks to residents

Ten thousand vulnerable residents of Bayelsa State are to receive 10,000 face masks, courtesy of the government.

In a statement, in Yenagoa, the state capital, on Thursday, Permanent Secretary in the state’s Ministry of Information, Freston Akpo, who doubles as a member of the state’s COVID-19 Task Force,  disclosed the state government’s gesture.

He added that the distribution of the face masks was part of efforts the task force to stem the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the state.
