Business mogul and Chairman of Shanghai Engineering Limited, Mr. Festus Mbisiogu, has dissociated himself from his purported nomination into the campaign committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
A social media post, which were published on both Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and several other platforms had claimed that Mbisiogu, who is President of Blue Diamond Group, was one of the PDP leaders in the Ideato area of Imo State who had been constituted into various committees for the prosecution of up coming legislative and general elections.
But in a statement signed on his behalf by one Barr. Muoneke Paschal Oluchukwu, the Personal Assistant to Uzotex Group, Mr. Mbisiogu raised the alarm over the purported nomination and the subsequent publication, which he said was not only false, but malicious and mischievous.

He said he was considering taking legal actions against those behind the publication.
The statement read in parts, “Our attention has been drawn to a material currently trending on several social media platforms which not only claims that Mr. Festus Uzoma Mbisiogu is a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, but purportedly nominates him into some curious election campaign committee.
“We make bold to state that both the alleged membership of the PDP, and the purported nomination are untrue and without the knowledge or approval of Mr. Mbisiogu.”
The statement said Mbisiogu is not a card-carrying member of the PDP, or any other political party for that matter.
“My, principal, Mr. Mbisiogu, is not a card carrying member of any political party as to warrant such non-consulted nomination and its subsequent publication on social media.
“Mr. Mbisiogu was neither consulted, nor did he give his consent. As it stands, we reiterate his stand and consistent strong statement that he is only poised to identify and support any visionary administration with an obsession for the good and welfare of Imolites by churning out landmark dividends of democracy. This is Mr Festus Mbisiogu’s platform, mission and vision for the people of Imo state”.
The statement also said Mr. Mbisiogu vehemently dissociated himself “from any form of politically influenced nomination and clandestine agenda on which he was not formally or informally consulted.
“Mbisiogu has no knowledge of the formation of any such political committee and will never conform to this”.
He asked all and sundry to disregard the development as the handiwork of desperate political jobbers.
