Coronavirus: Lagos Assembly Chief Imam suspends Jummat service indefinitely

The Chief Imam of Lagos State House of Assembly, Dr. Abdul Hakeem AbdulLateef has announced the suspension of Jumat service in the Assembly till further notice.

This development came on the heels of the escalating and devastating Coronavirus pandemic.

The one term member of the state assembly made the disclosure on his Facebook page.

According to him, “As the chief Imam of Lagos State House of Assembly, I wish to announce that there will be no Jumat service until further notice due to the government policy on corona virus.”

It would be recalled that governments at all levels have suspended both religious and social gatherings in order to contain the deadly virus.
