Veteran actor Clem Ohameze has said that he is not interested in financial support from people, adding that what he needs is prayers as he undergoes surgery.
The actor made this known in an interview with BBC reported on Thursday, following a viral video of the actor calling on Nigerians for support.
According to Clems, what he seeks is prayers and not money as believed by fans who posted on social media saying that the actor is in need of financial assistance.
“The only thing I need from people is their prayer. There’s nothing more than prayers. Prayers go beyond everything. I don’t want money from anybody, I only want their good thoughts and prayers,” he said.
Narrating his ordeal in the video, the veteran said that was involved in a car accident some time ago and was taken to the hospital, while he was being treated it was discovered that his lower limb was affected which caused pressure on his spinal cord which can only be treated via a surgical procedure.
“After they showed me the procedure and how it’s been done, I was scared. I was told that they are going to cut open the neck and physically separate the cervical vertebrae three from four and then use an iron plate to plate it with some screws so it can remain permanent. It was scary but I have no choice,” he said in the video.
