Mameh alleged that the defendant received the cables belonging to the complainant, Linear Engineering Company represented by Mr Kemi Akingbade.

“He received the cables knowing that they were stolen,’’ he said.

The offences contravene Sections 287, 328 (1) and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

In her ruling, the Magistrate, Mrs M. O. Ope-Agbe, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N1 million with one surety in like sum.

She said that the surety should be gainfully employed and should show evidence of tax payments to the Lagos State Government.

The case was adjourned until February 27 for mention. (NAN)
