President Muhammadu Buhari is the most powerful leader in the world and he needed to promptly use it effectively to arrest the growing state of insecurity in Nigeria.
A youth activist, Comrade Dapo Ipoola said this while speaking with journalists, in Ilorin, Kwars State.
He said President Buhari was the only Head of Government in the world with the title of Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR), a title that no other leader has across the globe.
Ipoola is the All Progressives Congress Youth Frontiers co-ordinator for Ekiti State but spoke with journalists in Ilorin, Kwara State, at the weekend.
According to him, President Buhari is powerful by virtue of the flags of all the Armed Forces including the Army, the Police and the para-milirary given to him on the day of his inauguration as the president of Nigeria which no other ruler in the world has.
The youth activist said that development thereby made him (the president) to have the strongest control of arms in the country whose command is capable of putting a stop to all acts of insurgencies, mutiny or armed offences with immediate effect.
This volume of power he said, could also be of assistance to neighbouring nations who might seek the help of armed forces under his command for assistance in times of need.
“It should not be heard of that insurgents by way of kidnapping abductions, high tech use of weapons to confront and kill military and security personnel while the lives of civilians are wasted with reckless abandoned on daily basis and worse still, these criminals demand, collect ransoms in a country ruled by a GCFR”.
He, therefore, pleaded with the president to be more proactive in dealing with percussions, the disturbing state of insecurity in Nigeria not only as a .military man himself, a GCFR but most importantly, as the president who is in charge of the country.

Ipoola wondered why for instance, the likes of Sheikh Gumi, a religious cleric had been so deep in freely meeting and discussing with the bandits/kidnappers up to the point of the same Gumi negotiating for money with them even on behalf of certain sections of government before the release of captives in their hold could be secured.
“The power President Buhari wields by virtue of being a GCFR is more than President Joe Biden of America who is referred to as the president and head of the number one democracy in the world saying it can be saddening that the same man who is given this much power is head of a nation being troubled by bandits.”
He demanded that Sheikh Gumi appeared to know much about banditry in Nigeria and so, he should therefore be made to be the first to offer some explanations on bandits and their activities.
He opined that a nation where youths are threatened the way it is at present in Nigeria by the incessant cases of invasion on schools, kidnap and herd them into the bush and subject them to wild torture and killings should simply watch out.
