President Muhammadu Buhari, pn Monday, inaugurated the Lekki Deep Sea Port, Lekki, Lagos State.
The inauguration took place on Monday after the President arrived Lagos on a two-day working visit to commission some projects, one of which was the sea port.
He however did not speak before and after inaugurating the project after he went on inspection trip around the project.
In his speech, Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said the Lekki Deep Sea Port is a total combination of the efforts of the Federal government, Lagos State government and the private sector, adding that the port could accommodate four times the size of vessels that currently berth at both Tin Can and Apapa Ports.
He further said the port would provide thousands of direct and indirect jobs to Lagosians.
