“Today is supposed to be the joyous 70th birthday for me. I thank God for being able to sustain me till today. I have just been informed of the sad incident in our country that over 60 people were killed on the Abuja-Kaduna rail. This is a very serious incident and it calls for sober reflection. For me to be enjoying myself here does not show signs of a statesman and senior citizen of the country.

The event should not.be holding. People should go home and pray. The event is hereby cancelled. We pray for the souls of those who have departed,” Tinubu said.
