A hit and run trailer ran into students waiting for the bus at Grammar School Bus stop, Ojodu, Lagos this afternoon.
The students were leaving their school after examinations and were waiting for the bus to convey them home when a trailer carrying detergents rammed into them at the bus stop. An unknown number of students were reported killed. Some eyewitness account said over 10 students were killed and several others were injured.
The police are at present having a tough time controlling angered students who are on a rampage.
Many parents whose wards are attending schools at Ojodu School Complex, consisting of Babs Fafunwa Millennium Senior Secondary School, Babs Fafunwa Millennium Senior Grammar School, Ojodu Junior High School and Ojodu Junior Grammar School were seen rushing to secure their wards. There was wailing and pain as Police took the dead to the mortuary and the injured to hospitals.
The police are using tear gas to disperse some aggrieved students.
