Barely five months after she clinched the honour for the longest cooking marathon, cook-a-thon, Nigeria’s Hilda Baci has been dethroned by an Irish lady, Alan Fisher.
The Guinness Work Record, GWR, had in June crowned Hilda as the new record holder for the longest cook-a-thon (individual), after reviewing footages of the exercise.
Hilda had actually attempted to set a record of 100 hours but the GWR officials adjusted it to 93 hours and 11 minutes due to a slight mistake in her calculation. READ ALSO: http://Lopsided appointments: Tinubu toeing Buhari’s footsteps, says Northern group
Hilda, 26, had begun her cooking marathon on Thursday, May 11, and continued till Monday, May 15, 2023, and cooked over 100 pots of food during the four-day experience.
However, GWR on Tuesday announced that Fisher, the Irish chef, had broken Hilda’s record.
Alan claimed the longest cook -a-thon after 119 hours 57 minutes, “more than 24 hours longer than the previous record” held by Hilda.
