Reports reaching the Nigerian Xpress indicates that President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday, asked Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Kpotum Idris, to proceed on retirement which commences from Tuesday, January 15.
This probably followed public outcry that trailed the alleged planned extension of tenure of the IGP . as being bandied about by opposition parties and civil society organisations.
