The Court of Appeal, sitting in Abuja, has struck out the suit challenging the election of Mr. Douye Diri as governor of Bayelsa State filled by the Advanced National Democratic Party (ANDP).
The Appeal Court said that the ANDP’s case’s statute barred, having been filed outside the 14 days stipulated by section 285 of the 1999 Constitution.
