Senator Ahmed Lawan, representing Yobe North has been elected as President of the Senate of the 9th Senate of Nigeria’s National Assembly.
Sen. Lawan polled 79 votes to beat his only challenger, Sen. Ali Ndume who scored 28 making it 107 votes.
