Benue Businesswoman Madam Esther Omoche Onuh for Burial

The family of the Late Benue State-born businesswoman, Madam Esther Omoche Onuh has announced her burial arrangements. She had passed earlier on May 15th in Lagos after a brief illness. She was aged 77.

In a statement signed by one of her children, Betty Abah, a journalist-activist, the funeral activities would hold on the 3rd, 7th, 8th and 10th July in Lagos and Benue States.

“The burial arrangement of our dear mother who went to be with the Lord after a brief illness at the age of 77 will hold in early July,” Abah said.

Continuing, Abah, the Executive Director of the non-government organisation, Centre for Children’s Health Education, Orientation and Protection (CEE-HOPE) announced that there would be a service of songs at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), King’s Court, 12, Oyetubo Street, Ikeja, Lagos on Sunday 3rd July by 2pm.

“The body leaves for Otukpo, Benue State for a wake keep on Thursday 7th July by 4pm at her residence, Onuh’s compound, 58, Ben Onaji street, Oweto, Otukpo,” she said.

The family also stated that there shall be a lying in state on Friday 8th July at the residence of the deceased at 7am before a funeral service at the Methodist Church, Jericho section, Jos street, Otukpo at 9am.

The remains of the late Madam Onuh would be interred after the funeral service at 3pm at Ayegba Egba compound, Ukalegwu-Igwu, Orokam, Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State.

Meanwhile, a thanksgiving service is also slated for Sunday 10th July at 9am at the Methodist Church, Igwu-Akor, Orokam, Benue State.

The deceased is survived by her husband, Mr. Onuh Ameh, and seven children (including a teacher, an activist, a pastor, two accountants and two entrepreneurs).

She also left behind seventeen grandchildren and other relatives.

A successful businesswoman, she was well known in Otukpo for her generosity and business integrity. She was also a devout Christian.
