Be business-minded, Sports Minister tells youths

Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Sunday Dare, Sunday, called on Nigerian youths to embrace entrepreneurship as a way of contributing to nation building.

The minister, while acknowledging the place of youths in national development, called on prominent Nigerians who have excelled in their fields of endeavours, to adopt and mentor the youths in a bid to prepare the younger generation for future challenges.

Dare, who made these remarks during a visit to the headoffice of VCare Diagnostics Centre, owned by Mr. Tayo Adiatu, who is also the Promoter of Tulcan Energy Ltd.

The minister said, “This medical facility domiciled in the heart of Lagos, precisely Victoria Island, can compete with any other medical laboratory in the world.

“I am amazed with the medical equipment in this facility, which are mainly products of leading companies: General Electric (GE) and Siemens.

“This facility is a one-stop centre for laboratory services.

“Nigerians will no longer wait for days, weeks or travel abroad for any kind of test.

“I am impressed with the owner of this facility, Mr. Tayo Adiatu.

“He has not only made the youths proud but Nigerians at large.

“I celebrate Mr. Adiatu, whose investments cut across all sectors of the economy beyond Africa for creating not only job opportunities but wealth for Nigerians and non-Nigerians alike”.

In his brief remarks, the Ogbomoso-born business mogul commended the minister for supporting Nigerian youths in their endeavours.

He said, “The Minsiter of Youth and Sports Development, has been a source of inspiration for the younger generation.

“I invited the minister a few hours ago and he obliged me and my team, the opportunity to play host to him in our corporate head office.

“I cherish the words of encouragement and counsel of the minister at all times.

The Minister was accompanied on the visit by Prince Kunle Oyewumi, a hi-tech business administrator.
