Atiku vs Buhari: Tribunal verdict, victory against falsehood, says Gov. Sule

 Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State as congratulated President Muhammad Buhari on his victory at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, describing the verdict of the court as a ‘victory against falsehood’.

In a statement issued, on Thursday, by Mallam Yakubu Lamai, Director General, Strategic Communication and Press Affairs to the governor, he hailed the judgement of the Tribunal, stressing that it affirmed that President Buhari was voted by Nigerians for a second term in office as against any false perception.

The governor maintained that the verdict of the tribunal further buttressed the fact that truth will always triumph over falsehood, just as he noted that the judgement is clear affirmation that the electorates in Nasarawa State stood with President Buhari because of his hard earned integrity, which Nigerians will always support and protect.

According to the statement, by the judgement, the courts have affirmed that President Buhari is not only eminently qualified but that he also won the 2019 presidential election have scored the majority lawful votes cast.

The statement reads:”His Excellency,  Governor Abdullahi A. Sule hereby congratulates, His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari on his recent victory at the Presidential Tribunal which unanimously dismissed the petition of the PDP in it’s entirety.

“We in Nasarawa State are comforted by the fact that the Tribunal in the course of it’s judgment, affirmed that the facts of the matter (as against any myth or false perception), resoundingly acknowledged according to law that President Muhammadu Buhari was not only eminently qualified to contest the Presidential election, but that Buhari was also won the polls with the majority of the lawful votes cast at the February 2019 Elections.

“His Excellency, Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule hereby reiterates that truth shall always triumph in the face of falsehood and propaganda, and the pronouncement of the Tribunal is a clear affirmation of this irrevocable fact! We in Nasarawa State stand with Mr. President for his hard won personal integrity which Nigerians will always support and protect.”
