An Army Major has lost his life following an auto crash at the Ojo Cantonment, in Lagos State.
The Army officer, Major A.N. Efam, was said to be driving out of the barracks in the early hours of Monday, when another officer of same rank, M.A. Tombri, who was also driving, hit him (Efam) unknowingly on the rear.

Efam’s vehicle was said to have immediately caught fire. He was reportedly burnt to death before help could come his way.
The fire was later put off and his remains deposited in the mortuary.
Called to confirm the incident, the acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Lt. Col. Olaolu Daudu, did not respond to calls made to his mobile telephone lines.
